Moscow. – Transneft received applications from Germany and Poland to pump Kazakh oil through the Druzhba pipeline in the second quarter.
“As far as I know, there are applications from Germany and Poland for the pumping of Kazakh oil in the second quarter, but I don’t know yet how the situation will develop,” Transneft President Nikolai Tokarev told reporters. Kazakhstan agreed to supply oil to Germany by ” Friendship” and planned to send the first batch of 20 thousand tons by the end of January. It was reported that the Russian side approved this application for the transportation of oil. In the first quarter, KazTransOil planned to transit 300,000 tons of Kazakh oil to Germany.
On February 21, a representative of KazTransOil, Shyngys Ilyasov, said that the very first 20,000 tons of oil had not yet been sent to Germany . Commenting on the delay, Tokarev said that Transneft was waiting for more information about the planned supplies of Kazakh oil.
“The issue is not yet specific, so I would not like to comment,” he said . “As soon as there is more clarity, it will become clear.”
Earlier, the head of the national oil and gas company KazMunayGas, Magzum Mirzagaliev, explained that Kazakhstani oil would be sent to an oil refinery in the city of Schwedt, which was owned by Rosneft, but was transferred under the control of the Federal Network Agency of Germany in September. Rosneft Deutschland (a structure of Rosneft) accounted for about 12% of German oil refining capacity, it was one of the largest players in the local fuel market. The capacity of the refinery in Schwedt is 11.6 million tons of oil products per year. From the design stage, the plant has historically been associated with the Druzhba oil pipeline and Russian oil fields.
